terry mccarthy Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 mark because its only a vanreet it would never get the money it warrants but if it was a vandenbelles or something i think you no wat it would bring its a case of if the name fits with birds these days

just ask me Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Not sure how you can put a price on a breeding hen like that Terry - All the best with the sale. dead right it seems some distance fanicers have this inferior thing about sprint racing i said here on a thread that i had 16 cocks from 18 drop to geather from 160 mile and got top 10 results from appox 1500 1600 birds which i thought was good even if i do say myself but the reply was do it from 500 mile and u will have something to talk about
Guest strapper Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 all the best with the sale terry m8, i know ur a decent fancier and so do a lot of others m8!

Lightning McQueen Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 dead right it seems some distance fanicers have this inferior thing about sprint racing i said here on a thread that i had 16 cocks from 18 drop to geather from 160 mile and got top 10 results from appox 1500 1600 birds which i thought was good even if i do say myself Top flying mate, no disrespect to distance flyers (400mile and above) but always seems easier to break a novice status at a 350 mile event!! JMO The level of competition and distinguishing factors in a sprint race, means a lot harder to win?? Now that will no doubt cause a debate, sorry LOL
terry mccarthy Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 ill sort out all paper work all her offsprings cards and her ofsprings youngsters cards aswell then go from there so hopefully weekend i got about 300 cards here to go threw
Ronnie Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Its a different kettle of fish.Sprint racing is a race you aim to win distance you aim to clock them in if you win its a bonus.Just my opinion, terry when will this hen be coming up for sale she sounds like the ideal mate for my van reet cock .Lol saying that no way i will be able to afford it.
Lightning McQueen Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 ill sort out all paper work all her offsprings cards and her ofsprings youngsters cards aswell then go from there so hopefully weekend i got about 300 cards here to go threw No problems terry, she sounds a world class hen... ps dont bite at some of the replies (just keep the birds doing the talkin mate)
Lightning McQueen Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Its a different kettle of fish.Sprint racing is a race you aim to win distance you aim to clock them in if you win its a bonus LOL got to agree.............but ooer wait till the distances boys get hold of this ha ha Everyone to their own, lol

ChrisMaidment08 Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 lets see bird not someone who obviouse knows terry and dont like him
terry mccarthy Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 people say about do it at distance doing it at sprint is harder our longest race is not a race its a indurance event with a lot less birds i sent to thurso taking the first 11 in club out of about 60 birds thats 500 plus miles and had quite a few in combine result half the birds on the day rest next day and other clubs wasnt won untill the next afternoon and sprint racing is harder as there altogether and a lot of the time becomes a trapping match and its all about speed dont get me wrong i happy at both ends of racing u race wat you enjoy
terry mccarthy Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 ill take photo to moz and put it up
