Glad to hear you got a couple at least. I'm sure a few more will work their way back, they'll be better than Peckedhens counting anyway.

If you've been doing well, its more than just luck. How did everyone else in your area get on? If everyone else in your area are missing a lot, then thats pigeon racing. If everyone else has most of their birds home and its only you thats missing the birds, start looking for a reason. Were they looking off colour, did you change their routine, their food , minerals, wasit a big jump for them this week. Even in the worst races you usually get a few turning up. Fingers crossed for you anyway.
  3. Stonehaven, 09:00 broken cloud , good visibility, but gusty ne wind. Good luck to everyone racing today.
  4. speedbird, try it. I was very sceptical when I first heard it. I would be interested to find out your thoughts if you do try it. There are always those that scoff, but if we understood everything that makes the birds tick you wouldn't have a forum this size.
  5. My deepest condolences>
  6. I've never tried roundabout, but I would imagine its to do with the bond to their nestboxes.
  7. First result I've seen. Truly amazing the way the weather has been today. http://www.pigeonbasics.com/clubs/sunnybankrpc/result2539.html
  8. Well at least you dont have to to worry about clashing! Nobody else sent birds by the sounds of things.Raining and mist Stonehaven, has been since 8:00. If anyone gets a bird it'll be well worth its 500.

  14. If they are good hard day birds they can't be too slow.
  15. A big thank you to the Aberdeen Fed officials and everyone who helped organise this afternoons barbecue to show off the new transporter. A great time was had by all.

  18. Never heard of it. Yes , one would think it would be in Scotland, but maybe someone can tell one where abouts. Just curious.
  19. Where abouts is the Royal Scottish loft?
  20. Agree with Jimmy, 10 weeks+ , but you should always try and give them their first few tosses in good weather. I prefer mine to go in little or no wind.
  21. Wonder what they'll do tonorrow. Doesn't look too good weather wise, but Monday looks a whole lot worse, Tuesday on the the other hands looks a lot better.
  22. I've 3 poor liitle sods (well somebody else's actually siiting in the rain tonight. Probably Aberdeen/NE Scotland birds. No way will they clear if it's still raining tomorrow. Wasn't a day for yb's NE wind and overcast, then rain from about 14:00
  23. 3 away, 5,3 & 2 yo cocks. Weather doesn't look to clever. Best of luck to all who sent.

I would be inclined to leave the Channel alone , though Falaise seems far better than Eastbourne (nothing against Eastbourne..start a different thread) but should avian flu get here its far better to state there were no pigeons raciing back to the UK should it ever occur.
  25. Back online at last. All the ybs are spoken for, will be contacting the 2 fanciers concerned this week. Thanks for the interest.
