with ref to my last post, the INFC has taken a step back ward , but man would be nice no lib's before 12 noon ¬ a race pont shorter than 550ml to the shortes't member, we have fancier's that can do this . they are few yes but what ! pigeon's what fancier's just my view.
-
hi albear they don't race any further then vannes or nantes now , into the middle of the provience 485ml , the north coast fancier's have another 50ml or so to go' some of the hardes't birds about' but this is my own view other's may differ
-
rose . good going pushing them out that far ,the odd one shines out , i mean the one's with the shorter leg's so to speak good luck hope do it again&again

hi albear, your right it is sad that we don't fly the big one's anymore, fancier's on the north coast were flying, rennes 530ml st-nazaire 580ml nantes 590ml le-sables 635ml oakhampton 300ml, penzance 325ml, averranch 450ml, the last three were our jump point's ,MILLER MAc , spot on
-
hi rossi , i agree all this in fighting should stop, and yes we should think of our boy's & girl's , on active service in trouble spot's ,all over the world. LET'S BRING THEM HOME
-
pj1001, you summed that one up lovely, everything at the end of season ,earned a perch
-
pjiooi, i see were your comming from , it sure would reduce the amount of cr*p, offerd in the winter sale's what you propose would send send some people to the wall :D :D
-
good point , ganster, there are fancier's today who's bird's could not fly the length of my street, if their bird's were not supported by the pharmacutial crutch, over use of anti-bios & all the other stuff shoved down their neck's,
-
this is a good one, 60/70/ very early 80, if you sent a team of 12 to penzance, 310mls,unless it was a total smash 90+returne's on the day, even in a smash/ bad race they were looking in the next morning, honest pigeon's vel are no different to then and today, what is different ,they just won't face it, conclusion , not the right stuff, made the same wrong move as manny other fancier's in the early 70's started looking for fast pigeon's/van this /van that, wasn't long before they were in the bin, make no mistake ,tried this 3or 4 times, may be iam just a bad fancier

GOOD LUCK TO ONE AND ALL

hi all ,if you intend to use smoke bomb's in your loft , make 100% sure they are of the formaldahyde type ment for pigeon loft's. if you use the other type that are SULFER based it won't be a happy ending, you will have nothing but dead pigeon's, the SULFER type can be used if you remove the bird's, and keep them out for 24hrs, that's including the one's ment for the green house. stick to KUDOUS or PRONAFIT and no problem. BE CAREFULL.

hi folks. i might be wrong, but i think all the products .listed ie baycox,turbosole,doxy-t,resfite,moxidectin,moxidectin-plus, are all trade marks of some aussi firm, get to know your local vet, he has all the above item,s without the trade name,s . DON,T GO SHOVING STUFF DOWN THEIR THROATS UNTILL HE GIVES THE O.K.
-
hi folks ref my last post , pellets ahould be used as a suppelment with grain, mixed with the daily ration 2/3 times per week .
-
hi folks anyone out there tried BAILYS HORSE PELLETS, £25 for 25kgs ,they are about aize of a maple, was that a gasp i heard ! we keep pigeon,s not horse,s . give them a try , you will not regret using them , a good hand full 2/3 times a week all year round, every day when rearing young in the nest . they contain every vit/min/trace element. that are absent in the grain,s we feed, due to the depleated soil problem. 25kg bag will last the average loft the whole year

hi folks, going back to bruno,s jan 6th . have found in my loft ,that if cocci count is on the up the tricho comes up with it . i then treat for cocci and as a result the tricho comes down to a safe leval ?. THAT WAS PRE 1994. since then i fitted floor grills and have been using stalosan F in the loft i have not had any problems with cocci or worms being that the life cycle of both has been broken , by the use of stalosan and the grills. please dont think i,am promoting the use stalosan and grills but i,am happy with the result. YES i do think over use of treatments for tricho has reduced the natural immune system to this organinsm. YES i do think pigeons over treated will result in some sort of super bug, just look at the M.R.S.A. bug. i think tricho needs a boost ,and that being cocci/worms /trush/ i have not treated for tricho since 94, as the count has stayed low at around 4/5%. the only bird,s treated are new one,s ,found with high count,s . should read bruno jan 7th
