  15. Am looking for some does any one local have them .
  16. Brian, i bred 23 and had 9 tossess in fife areas, dropped 1, left 1 in the hut, went to the race of Alnwick 75 miles, sent 21, dropped 20, i was totally gutted at the start, they arent even working home, but to say the least, i have got up to 5 now. Kyle Douglas does a great job of helping fanciers out though to give this guy some credit, with others involved offcourse.
  17. Just under 500 rings issued to the club for 2024. This is how my club stands from the very first race of the 2024 yb season. Wooler, 61 miles to most, 143 birds sent, 37 clocked in at the clocks, after a 2 hour period. Alnwick yb 1, 75 miles to most, 129 birds sent, 55 clocked in at the clocks, after a 2 hour period. Alnwick yb 2, 75 miles to most, 105 birds sent, 44 clocked in at the clocks, after a 2 hour period. Darlington, 129 miles to most, 75 birds sent, 25 clocked in at the clocks, after a 2 hour period. Thats just an overview of whats happening down in the Fife corner, not even 50% of birds timed in from either race at clocks. Heavy losses alright, yb season over for some that only bred a small team, and the answer isnt breeding a bigger team for next year thats for sure.
  18. Guys, ano that we are all having terrible yb lossess within our clubs, whats your THEORY,on the lossess, i have listed mine below just to get a bit of what everyone thinks. Its not a thread for arguments, its what you think, and they are not in any order, for my OPIONION. 1. Dehydration, ybs not being shown how to drink at the home end.? 2.Early Liberations, waiting on a suitable temperture to rise. ? 3. ETS/Wind turbines, too many phone massess, turbines. ? 4. Respitory, fancier not picking this up at the home end. ? 5. Clashing, birds not clearing site after liberation, unsufficient time allocation between. ? 6.Untrained pigeons, Fanciers taken the chance. ? 7. Peregrines, birds being turned at liberation time. ? Would be interesting to hear what other fanciers thoughts are though. Cem.
