Lost an old stock hen(Huntly aberdeen area) ..GB2000..small light chequer .was a gift from a kind fancier and she got out past me when sliding door opened by mistake ..I had written number down but cant find the details ..she has a light orangey..yellow ring .cant be many old pigeons flying about from the year 2000..Small reward given on safe return of my pigeon .. Forgot the details pigeonman 007. ....................... The hen ...mother...on the youngsters is a daughter of kweeker12 x sister of wittenplek. The cock ..father.. of the youngsters is the mealy at the bottom He took places last year early, and was 2nd place to a loft mate this year .should of been first . The white roland cock looking timid in the pan is the bird i am letting you have with the youngsters...as i said i have taken some youngsters from him but will only try them this year .he is very well bred as well . if you still have these birds the same time next year i will send you original pedigrees. speak soon DAVID

The father of these youngsters are a mealy van-reet cock and the hen is a daughter of super kweeker 12 X a full sister to witteplek (roland ).. The hen is for stock although she has been trained to 80 mile(single up) ..all my birds are trained up regardless .i will be racing youngsters of this pairing myself this season so an account of performance from this mating can not be given The father has had a couple of seconds and a 4th and seems like a reliable pigeon ..he continues to be raced .. These youngsters are free but please pay carriage and arrange uplift yourself . If you are less than a year in the game (honesty here) i will pay carriage also as long as you are not a politician !! Hi mate . Asha tells no lies ,but hardly constructive i think . Have you been in pigeons long?. I have been in pigeons for five minutes and i have learned more by reading these guys on here ...BUT!! you must only take what information and advice best suits the dynamics of your loft set up and birds . I tried a semi widowhood thing last year and had the same problem as you . My birds were 20 min,s to 40 min,s behind the leaders . This year i am flying natural on open hole and straight away... Bingo !!(from april only because of hawks) I feed twice a day ..before they are out in the morning and when they come back in ...from late thursday i just give some energy corn and a bit more carbs This will change to more carbs from the further the race point ..If i feel they have not had the exercise to burn of the fats then i just give them protein ...peas,..this will keep them on the edge of being hungary but build muscle while they exercise . Widowhood is easy enough but a strict ,strict routine is needed to succeed . (my opinion only) .Get yourself on the natural if it suits you next year . There is nothing better than enjoying seeing your birds out and about the loft . I believe foremost the birds need to be happy ..HAPPY =HEALTH .VITALITY. and as far as looking in the mirror ..Alf Baker tells us it,s 60% fancier ,40% bird ..This to me is a true estimate of the facts .. I do not train between races but if a hen misses because of being eggy or something like that i give her a couple of 25 milers ..you do not need much to jump a happy bird. Relax and enjoy your birds . DAVID

Little Sam !! More Hype?? Have you tried bamfords Bos pellets??? if not then you must do . I would say to all that they produce Fantastic youngsters if used as a mix with peas or something to make it more appetizing to the older parent birds..they are more than is needed used on there own but you would need to run a water tap to each birds box to keep up with the thirst that all pellets produce when used ..I used colostrum last year for the youngsters and i can see no difference in this years youngsters using the Bos pellet from Bamfords..if i had to pick, then the pellet gives a more robust youngster ...i found the colostrum matured the birds too quickly sexualy... Not ideal for racing i think as the thirst generated is abnormal and if your bird is hounded from the drinker and cant get a swig then it,s goosed ... In as far as breeding goes and for what it,s worth then top marks from me .. Give em' a try. DAVID
