another successful training race today, just noticed that the pools were open for this being the first actual race... had a bit of fun last year pooling birds and lifted a few bob! they were at 10km today, some must have been a bit slow to trap but the my ten troops are all perched up for the night and there to fight another day... positions were 181st.. 348th.. 393rd.. 1329th.. 1587th.. 1589th.. 1843rd.. 1863rd.. 1976th.. 2052nd.. happy days

We have 15 young birds in total, and will be sold in three drafts, and to give everybody a chance the biddings times will now close as follows.... LOTS 1-5... Sunday 19th December at 9.00pm LOTS 6-10... Sunday 19th December at 9.15pm LOTS 11-15...Sunday 19th december at 9.30pm so if you are outbid on the first draft, then you can still bid in draft 2/3. PM bids will be accepted UNTIL Saturday 18th December (midnight)but preference would be for posted bids, posted bids ONLY Sunday 19th December, winning bids will be the final bid on each Lot on or before the closing time. 3RD PRE TRAINING RACE 2400 birds liberated at 12.15pm from 7km in a 12km/h SW Wind, temp 20 degrees. Well done to Ken Darlington on winning this race after his 2nd place from the second race. Happy to report the troops are all home, 142nd.. 317th.. 362nd.. 579th.. 741st.. 745th.. 1032nd.. 1200th.. 1338th.. 1889th (in 6 minutes)

thanks Frank, they are 5km today... 1km and 3km for the first two flights. Not far but great fun these short ones, hopefully something starts to make a move as the distance increases...
