Why are members 'picking' fault with the new couriers? I dont understand it. maybe some members on here need reminders from the Amtrak days!!!!!! they were total rubbish! I had a pigeon killed in transit once. I am more than prepared to get up any hour for the safe collection/arrival of my pigeons. So wots the problem with 5.30am?? I basket my pigeons at 5am for training in the summer!!

By the way, we have had our pigeon loft at the local school for over a year. And one of our club members attends the loft every day to make sure the kids are doing their duties. And to generate more interest my club entered the Europa classic 2008 as Harrowden school. (unfortunately europa kept spelling name wrong, and we were called Howden school. we got 3 birds to last race, but we all know wot happened next.) we also intend to buy a new marking shed with large opening doors so we dont get wet at marking. our current shed is ready for Nov 5th!!

I will be having a young bird sale in 2009. This will be to raise money for my club. We usually have fund raisers of 'some sort', but this year we need to raise a decent amount. Especially as we have a pigeon loft at the local school which the club pay to run. We recieve no school funding. And we have 10 to 12 kids very interested in pigeon racing! The idea is to get youngsters donated from TOP fanciers, even if it is 1 youngster. Thankfully we have had a great response locally, but I would like a few pigeons donated from across the UK. I have approached a few fanciers on this site, and am still awaiting replies. Still gotta ask 'Gangster' tho, but i am sure he will help!! ;D ;D Chris at Vallance Lofts has helped. cheers! Well said..........if your not happy with a courier then try another............at the end of the day we need pigeon couriers........and I have found Pigeon Tracker to provide a super service.

my best black pigeon was a hermans, and won many prizes, he was full of vitality........never ill......never blind treated for anything.......just a super pigeon wish i had some now, but he never bred anything good :-/

I'm a huge fan of black pigeons.......and that top one is a cracker. I had a 100% R faulkner black verotte hen which scored from bergerac, 520 miles! thats a good cross, which you have done

I wouldnt judge a stock pigeons potential until it was atleast 2-3 years old. however, buying a 10 year old pigeon would be very risky, due to the fact that it could stop breeding anytime. personally, I only buy youngsters unless I want a pigeon from an entire clearance sale. this will give you a fairer chance.
