Skippersworld, Is there any chance you could get in touch with person you got the lahores from? If you want any breed best to get it from a club. Try the all England roller club if you want rollers. Places on the internet such as bird trader are no good so stat away from that.

Do they have any rings on? If yes post the details then we may be able to find the club

Thanks Ron. Yeah hawks will hunt more often as they have their own babies to feed. I will think about the offer mate, very kind of you. Still no sign of the pigeon. It got out of the loft. I have had it for a while now.

Thanks Ron. I have lost a lot of rollers due to problems with the hawk. I have been flying my young rollers at the moment and are all coming back. No rolls yet from them, will have to wait.

Websites like this and Bird Trader are no good to get pigeons off. Of course you have to see what you're buying but people are better off getting pigeons from clubs or asking people on the forum like this.

Thanks for the advice Tony. Much appreciated. This year I haven't had any youngsters with broken legs. Which one is the clip ring as I am not into the racing pigeons, I keep the rollers.

I thought a pigeon with a broken leg cannot be cured. I had a young pigeon last year that was born with a broken leg. It grew up and when moving around the shed it would use its body. I was thold that why this happened is because there needs to be plenty of straw or other nesting material. So if I have a pigeon like this in the futre (lets say a young one) will the above suggestions work? Thanks
