  4. Aye fair comment, but when I phoned the royal vet school asking what to do, they put me in touch with the VLA, if I knew about SACC and a number then I would have contacted them, a lot of people would have put the pigeon in the bin
  5. Having read the origonal thread on the for sale section, Harky's comment would only be fair if was true that a member only used the site to sell birds :-/
  6. If theres a place on the site, as in pigeons for sale etc, then why would anyone object to one using it, maybe there should be a place on the site for donations received against list of names or visa versa We have had some cracking pigeons from members which probably would not have if not for the "for sale" section

  15. But Herpesvirus is. Said to be no obvious symptoms other than the bird just isn't right: hunched, fluffed feathers, moves jerkily. Abnormal head posture and crooked neck. Worth querying what the organism was. Will do, any more info on Herpesvirus, this was similar to symtems of bird
  16. Check out their site Jimmy its seem to be up on avian as well
  17. Vetinery Laboritory agency a part of Defra www.defra.gov.uk/corporate/regulat/forms/vla
  18. You'll recognise two names tho : herpesvirus and streptococcus [enterococcus] as pigeon pathogens, the 'human' versions of which can cause meningitis in humans. Interesting. How serious are these, the report suggested there was nothing to worry about as the tests were all clear, and trivialised the meningitis
  19. I think you need to go to the Bush Estate for testing
  20. Yes but some become clear of the virus also :-/
