  1. Are you saying members like me who do not do what you do, are not weight pullers No, I am freinds with both Ferry and Renbrant2coo, but a few members were invovled in the bidding, and a few not knowing who won was the main issue raised. even moderators were not sure who won When auctioning birds reaching the hundreds of pounds then it is you that should be critical, especially when it is so tight at the end. And if not be prepared to be criticised
  2. STUART, A MAN THAT NEVER MADE MISTAKES, NEVER MADE ANYTHING, THE BETTER MEN TRY AND LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES NO MATTER HOW SMALL
  3. Who said you let the site down??? you may have let some members down by not being clear about final decissions when it was so tight. What you do is great for the site and the fund raising benefits are second to none, but Stuart you also get a lot of benefits from the site as well selling your birds :-/
  4. If he was the highest bidder at 7.59.59 then weld one Ferry :)
  5. So was the other bidders :-/
  6. Great for the site nobody is boubting that as regards money raised. but has to be fair to the members of the site as well, not fair on bidders thinkng they are bidding and winning when auction is in progress and when it ends to find out it may have been a waste of time, not good for the site You cannot accept commision bids if you are not there to monitor them while action is near closing to let bidders know where they stand
  7. Can you explain commision bid as you see it, in normal situation if you have commision bids as soon as someone bids then the commision bids kicks in increments to push bid higher any auction I have been at Example someone bids £100 on line the bid stays with the auctioneer at the increment about that, say £5 incriments. The hammer has it if a secret bid or name if not at £105 :-/ Other wise what is the point of bidding up till 8 oclock when you have an ace up your sleeve maybe,
  8. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  9. But you hope it's you :D
  10. I agree, it looks like it is down to seconds or split seconds even.
  11. No matter where you are bidding the host clock is deamed the right time, big auctions make sure their clocks are set correctly You could get into all sorts of arguments as no clock is 100% correct if you want to argue
  12. Depends on how the clock is set on the site, there may be four in the 59th minute before the 8 oclock deadline all showing the same time, if in minute incriments,
  13. Correct if you are bidding on Ebay for instance the deadline falls and the winner is informed straight away The time clock on the site may have to be in mili seconds :-/
  14. Thats a great rule if it is one or if you know it's one, it would have to be in the site auction rules beforehand to stand as the ruling on this one :-/
  15. Then only they two should be allowed extra time to bid or a rule made beforehand to cover such an occurance and made public at start of auction
  16. He may need four pair as it was close between, Ferry, Rembrant2coo, Ch pied and birbman4610 :-/
  17. Take a vote on it, no double user account cheats please :D
  18. Not fair if this rule was not made clear to all potential bidders, I certainly never knew of such a rule in any bidding before, always thought a deadline was the deadline :-/
  19. Snap
  20. ;D ;D ;D The plot thickens :D
  21. It looks like it is an 8pm finish, no mention of anything else :-/
  22. The webmaster or the mods will have to check the bid times accurately surely :-/
  23. I wonder who had the highest bid at 8.00 pm : : :
  24. What? Has she been scorned or heard the saying, maybe both
  25. Geordie took 1st and 4th
