Coal has a lot of different properties in it, and they also vary depending on where the coal was mined from, in general coal will not harm the pigeons, miners that were fanciers used to take it home and crush it for their birds

All the pricing I done for you was easy, so don't feel obliged because of that, you can get reclaimed timber a lot cheaper, why not just start of with a cheap garden shed or even a rabbit hutch setup I know a guy that has loads of hutches against a wall insite an aviary and also the same under his car port :-/ Good members on here will always help you out with birds etc
