I hardly think Amtrak went burst giving away free boxes, for every £30 they would spend less than a pound supplying boxes. Pigeons were only a tiny part of their turnover nationally :-/

We used builder sharp sand and stalosan F, it dried out no problem, the only thing was the crap stuck to it, we are now on easybed and stalosan, just keep raking it and sprinkle fresh stalosan over it
