That is not strictly true I have asked Richard about at least three threads/posts that were removed and he had no knowledge of them or could not find them in his folder :-/

Capital locks is a minor issue as far as I am concerned, whether it be a mistake or using it as SHOUTING to get your point across The main issue is if you are going to have rules then they should apply to both admin and members they should be fair and just. This is a great site but like any other part of life that is not cloned or robotic it is human interaction all be it in cyberspace. In the real world we get problems from both sides of the divided, we get friendships forming, we get cliques, we get the haves and the have not's, we get the clash in personalities, we have differences of opinions, we get the honest members, we get liars cheats and con men, we get people that can express or people that can't express how they feel in words the list is endless as in any other part of life The secret of good admin is managing all the above not controlling it and certainly not thinking you are above it just because you chose to do the job Yes admin should have the final say as I do with the things I have managed but unless you are fair and constructive you will not get the best out of what you manage, whether it be a website forum, your kids, your business, your employment or your social life :-/

It definitely is not the case as most on here well know that have seen it happen on a few occasions where a mod deletes, blocks or removes a thread to suit his own views :-/

99% of the time if a member posts the truth or or how he genuinely feels it is nothing more that, if this causes trouble for some on the site then they can be viewed by some as trouble makers, there is a small percentage that post lies knowing fine well that they are just that and if this causes trouble then they should be removed from the site, the grey area is what is the truth and who is just causing trouble for the sake of it Personally I do not think mods should get involved in threads that effect them personally and when they do not like how the thread is going switch hats and control the post by blocking, deleting or removing information that they personally don't like :-/

Nothing to do with the content of previous postings but the above illustrates what can go wrong in the cyber world in the real world we do not have a delete or lock button and we do not have a tone button apart from capital locks(deemed as shouting) where you get a true feeling of how a discussion is going in face to face contact. Members and mods(glorified members) cannot fully interact as if a mod is getting involved personally he has the power to delete, lock or block what an ordinary member is saying if he does not agree or like how the post is going :-/ It is also apparent that if you are liked or feared on the site your posts are treated differently to the ones that are not in favour or deemed trouble makers by some :-/

I am sorry the way Ben's auction went for the sake of Ben, but it has highlighted some other problems that need addressed on the site I have asked the Webmaster if he would allow a post on website news and views with the following conditions No moderation No foul language No racist or bigoted comments The members will self police the posts and not allow any of the above by condemning them No posts unless they can be founded as the truth The webmaster is frightened that it will just turn into a slagging match which hopefully would not be the case :-/

If it is not sanctioned by admin it will just be removed :-/

Why not start a debate in the members section with every one's feelings on the site, no moderating just let it run 1. no foul language 2. no personal threats I have done this before and it sure clears the air and management take stock of members opinions, Without management you do not have a site also without members you do not have a site either, best thing is a happy medium :-/

Richard you are the webmaster and own this site no arguments there, but I think you called the wrong shots on this one, the posts you and other mods added were removed for some reason by The Fifer after you logged off, maybe if they were left on then it may have been different The first auction was mainly banter and no offence taken by any of the parties as far as I know, the auction went belly up because of my car problems and then Smudgers laptop problems nothing else We all make mistakes surely :-/

I think in fairness to ben he posted a few times to get your attention, and in fairness to you he had no idea off your problems. So he put the bird back up for auction. Also the Ben has only turned 16, I have a 16 year old boy that would panic at the thought of having to deal with this matter, my 32 year old boy at sixteen would have ripped you for any pennie he could get :-/ So lets not all fall out and accept that some things went wrong on all sides and deal with it :-/

I doubt whether Ben would have got as much for the bird without us bidding, Ben admitted he was suprised but that's life

Yes looks like adim have taken the fun right out of it for me, you and a lot of others that have tried to post, I think we have had enough PM's from other members realising how petty they have become in removing banter from this thread all to save face. If no one else bids I will split the £56 with you and toss a coin for it at Blackpool If this gets removed then you can remove the rest of my bids and Ben will be the loser, me and Chris bid up to aprox £80 last time for this bird due to a bit of fun rivalry :(
