  5. first year racing for me this year and will be using t3 but i can see both points ets is a lot easier on the bird as you dont have to catch and remove the rubber and the conventional you got the buzz of getting that rubber off and in the clock and thats mainly what i like about racing but its jmo may in future turn to ets but for now ill stick with t3.

  8. on wednesday they hit rain on way home think it was a north east wind and yesterday the got in a smash with another lib so i heard not to good on winds and that yet but the other fanciers who i trained with says the had it hard with the weather and that i had abird that as not long been settled go back to its old loft which is approx 3 miles past mine it got there at 25 min with there first batch it come back home few hrs later .
  9. hi could anyone tell me what times i should be looking to get from my pigeons from training wednesday i took them 40 mile away it took 46 mins for me to get the first few back. on thursday i sent them on a 20 mile or so it took them 29 mins to get first back is this ok i know the weather will make a big differance but just on average should i be looking to get a lot quicker time from these or are they nearly on it. or is this poor.ps these birds are still not flying the full hour round the loft only getting about half our from them.
  10. also try running the shower or bath till its steams the room then take your bird in for a while this has also worked for me with other birds . i have read on the net that some people put boiling water in bowl and hold birds vent over it (not to close or it burns) and this has worked for them .

    BLOODY CATS

very lucky it didnt harm the birds . it certainly wouldn't get back out of my loft with out feeling the same way the pigeons did when it was in there.. > > >
  14. warm bath should help i wouldn't brake the egg it can have ill affects on bird if you not sure how to do it . i agree with old yellow warm bath towel hot water bottle cotton bud in olive oil rub it round vent should help it pass used to do it with the budgies works a treat.
  15. well done richard looks like this will become very big very quick they cant hide the facts they may try but they cant succeed the public will get behind this and once they do there will be no stoping it they will have to take note and action should follow .
  16. i think its because in my area the feral are mainly in the city centre or near to shoping centres . and its to far out of there territory to go unless hungry enough to exstend there boundries as our racers are in there territory or go through it on training ect. basicly what evers easiest and quickest . jmo :)
  17. had 4 bop fly around mine today together 2 were alot larger then the other 2 could it be 1 family or 2 seprate types of bop i know we have a pair of percy about 2 mile away maybe the smaller ones were hawks but they seem to tolerate each other luckily i didnt let the ybs out as i was planing to just before i spoted them . :o
