  7. the parents feed the chicks a milk mash for about the first 10 days, why on earth would u give them baby milk, u wont better there own parents milk.
  8. i know of a member of a club not very often in the top 20 on the result ,swap pigeons with a top nat flyer and he scored with it in nat racing .so the flyer brought the best out of the bird?. so surly its[ pigeon] it has to have it to bring it out regaurdless of who breeds it.

  15. i visited willie wilson of larkhall a number of years back, willie was renound for having birds to a ripe old age ,my friend asked him where the old blue pied cock was he had seen on his last visit ,willie said he had died the week before at the age of 19. i beleive he had a bird live till he was 21. maybe its a certain types of families that live longer.

  17. its the only sport/hobbie that thers no handycap system new starts fly with the best and the worst .make sure ur birds are healthy priority NO1 just enjoy the thrill of seeing them return even from a training toss, u will loose birds, but that is just part of the game now. if there healthy they stand more of a chance of getting home,winning's a bonus. good luck new starts
  18. tried every thing , held clocks ,till transporter had left they all went home had dinner then returned for clock
  19. our biggest prob is a fri night loading transporter out of 38 lofts we are lucky to get 6 members.ok some are not fit but plenty are ,how do u make them? some night the ones that stay will walk to and we wont be racing.sometimes 40 + baskets
