josh ur intensions are good but dream on ,the rspb are so powerful with contacts and money, the shu combined with the gamekeepers ass have acheived very little over the last few years .forget about causes, and race your pigeons. the rspb wont realise until it is to late that all they have to twitch is birds of prey. the public are on their side .

  11. i would never dream of using a 100% barley,i do use it but at50%it has to be bold and malting barley for brewing,i do beleive it is grossly underestimated.my mix is 50% barley 25%depuritive 25%breed & wean, graduly adding more b&w to pairing up, my birds are looking & handling brill.

  15. dont be gutted just yet ,as the other lads have said get a breaking cage to let them see all their surroundings, cage train them for about 2 weeks ,then take the cage away ,but keeping them that bit hungry, not starving just in case they do stay out. sounds like the young you got [with 8" tails were to old when u got them.any young u get in the future ask if u can have them at 25 days old,and u will break them easly .good luck m8

  25. by all means feed peanuts ,but be careful they are very fatening ,fat birds cant race, fat hens find it hard to lay.great for keeping your birds tame i use them in my feed but controled use.
