I have watched several libs from consett over the years and have never seen a peregrine attack them . the local peregrine sites i know of are 1/2 mile north of towlaw/ gibside monument rowlandsgill 6 miles from consett witton castle ( have seen them attack the libs here) ferryhill 2 miles from aycliffe the north west lib yesterday was one of the best libs i have seen the birds out of the transporter formed one batch and headed straight north into the cold north wind i can not vouch for the almond valley as we left to a 9.30 to get ready for our birds returning up untill 9.30 we never saw any birds return to the site last week the central fed birds lib at 7.30 was full cloud cover cold strong west nw winds the birds would not clear kept going away then returning several local fanciers reported getting su birds in saturday afternoon & sunday morning i.m.o what happened yesterday was not at the racepoint tommy riddle nehu vice president
