nah not frowned upon mate alot of ppl in my club use them all they do is the address ring gets lifted up and rubber goes on!i woulkdnt use it incase it got caught up or the address ring during the race covered up the rubber

alot of people train all distances mate east north south and west wouldnt do them no harm.One guy i know takes his birds wherever he is going whatever part of the country on the compass

yea i put a bid in once for a direct daughter out of it at someone or the others auction,but it was a commision bid and the auctioneer gave me some advice on the birds condition so i left it at that,i would have loved to have bought it that chief constable was some pigeon
