  5. training race was brought back to Fasnia today 32km... prob due to the falcon attacks from last race. lib at 2.20pm, all home safe n sound once again 170th, 480th, 681st (2.47/2.48/2.49)
  6. 9th training race today... around the 45km mark, lets hope no falcon interference today! there are still 45 pigeons unactivated and now up fro grabs at 120 euro each.
  7. at the moment still 71 pigeons remain unactivated, tommorow they will be up for grabs!
  8. only in september when i pull out a black bag! lol
  9. depends what you mean by outside the loft? there are approved ets trapping systems that are positioned externally to the loft structure, but are termed as a loft fixture then this is okay... anything else i'm sure is a def no no!
  10. cheers jimmy, the real tester will be when they start libs from the other islands, lets hope we get lucky!
  11. didnt get a chance to update before i left for blackpool training race no.8 went well in the end although still 53 pigeons missing, seemingly the batch were hit by three falcons hence the scatter and some late times... somes birds were still returning on the fourth day. Winner timed at 2.27pm, my first bird was 20 minutes behind leaders, with my second bird only being one minute behind my first. had to wait till 5.27pm until the third arrived, but at least they all made it with 147 pigeons spending the night out. any one still interested in competing in this race, there could be some unactivated pigeons left availaible on 25th january
  12. thanks George, hoping i have at least one in the final... braw excuse for a long week end in the sun
  13. 21-22 mile
  14. frank started with three, still three there... all entrants seem fine, i think from first training race something went wrong but i initially thought he was lost... at first training race there was 1379 entries, yesterday there was 1313...so a wee handful have been lost but returns have been well over 90% each time just hope they battle it out when the trickier flights come around, just enjoying the whole fun of it just now thanks again lads...
  15. Wee update lads, training race went very well today with all three entrants home in good time finishing 24th, 176th, 394th Got a wee sniff of some pool money today winning 45 euro, my main pooler was pipped by one second for the 10 euro pool Happy with the progress of my three youngsters, results to date are: Training 01 231st / 1249th Training 02 434rd / 646th / 1223rd Training 03 128th / 884th / 1023rd Training 04 918th / 1082nd / 1249th Training 05 194th / 563rd / 987th Training 06 243rd / 856th / 951st Training 07 24th / 176th / 394th ... not sure what happened to one of my entrants from Training 01, thought he was lost... he appeared in the 'basket list' so i knew he definetly went, then he appeared on the next result... could only assume he missed the ets pad and wasnt clocked. Training Race 08 is on thursday, be about 40km
