IE is an older browser, and has a compatibilty mode which is to help get a better service on modern websites, and websites designed for older browsers, if you are on IE go to the top of the page and on the right of the address bar you will see a small square with a broken page in it, put your pointer on it and read what it says regarding what you can get using an older browser, clicking on this can put you in compatibility mode,which as you read maybe help, so IE has this as I see it because it is old and not always compatible on modern sites, PS. I only learnt this because i was having problems (not all the time) using IE, I changed to Chrome and its a lot better, tried firefox its ok but prefer Chrome, I still have all 3 on my pc, but use Chrome those are more modern browsers
