  1. the thread was not started for what we can do, it was to discuss what the UNIONS can do, and I think thats the only way we can go, as we members wont get anywhere if the unions of our sport are not doing anything, and talking out of hand etc is only giving the protectors of those birds more ammunition to preach against us,(my thoughts,)
  2. birds were too late, :cry-blow:

  4. many happy returns to you all, hope you have a nice day,
  5. The SHU fought it for a few years, got a slap from members for spending money, they did try, but its all the unions together we need, the confederation,

  15. they are registered to the member and union , its the clock markers who should check if someone gives a ring in someone else's name,
  16. all the best have a nice time, :egyptian:
  17. well done Mark, that's the right direction, we as individuals will get nowhere, and just give the RSPB more to down us with threats etc, i have just read my local paper, KIRKCALDY shopping cente high street, having problems with seagulls attacking people in the street actually takeing things from their hands etc while they are eating them, and whats being done about it, nothing, they have been told not to feed the seagulls, as they cant do anything, this is the environmental department, they have put up notices telling people not to feed them,as legally the local authority is not obliged to take any action as the gulls are a protected species, and even in these circumstances it is illegal to do anything that will cause suffering to the gulls, they are protected under the wildlife and countryside act 1981, so what is this country coming to, people are scared to go shopping and nothing can be done,
  18. thats the problem, members are doing all they can on sites etc,but getting nowhere, its the unions that need to get a push to do something, the SHU fought for years on its own and got little bits but nothing to save the sport, they all need to get together and fight, more power than anything, money, well i am sure members would pay a tenner a head to get moving,
  19. many happy returns, hope you both have a nice day
  20. if you have had them so long and into it, what would you do without them, most hobbies etc , today have got problems, but most stick in, get over or sorted,
