  1. the fed delegates meeting is this week for the race program i think that we have to forget this east west debate and set a program down the middle of the country with alternative race points to the east and west of centre if the weather is bad east or west its the birds welfare that is first and not east and west politics maybee if we are alternating racepoints during the season people might change there minds and put the birds welfare first we need change and it needs to be now we cannot keep losing birds the way we are now

    seems to me that the shorter the race the happier people are channel races should be 500 miles plus even the s.n.f.c is turning to sprint racing with the inland races a great man once said a sprint pigeon is a failed racer it seems to me that the money side keep the bidage up is taking priority play it safe i wonder if we will ever see a two hundred mile young bird race ever again in the lanarkshire fed

  6. if you want to go down the line of using a vet it is better to send a bird to the specialist pigeon boys like tom pennycot at auchencruive in ayrshire as your vet will do this and charge you extra for it
  7. have you vaccinated against paramixovirus
  8. vets are very expensive and are not usually needed if we can find the cause we can cure it he will get plenty of help here
  9. check the feeding you are using make shure it is not mouldy then check in the loft for mouse droppings

  21. ther does not seem to be a reason for the losses but i do know that a lot of good high scoring birds has been lost and consistant birds are we being taught a lesson for sacking a race controller??????? :'( :'( :'(
  22. i think not i talked to a few very well known lanarkshire fanciers today and they told me of guys that have lost sixty and more birds and it seems to be across the board i personally have lost more than thirty bids in the last three weeks
  23. the amount of birds that has been lost the last three weeks has been unbeleivable in the lanarkshire fed obviously all bad birds?????? :'( :'( :'( :'(
  24. if it is not too hard a race i will send my yearlings again next week and i have fourteen away to this race
  25. i have been racing pigeons for twenty five years and one eyed cold usually results from a draught i have always licked the eye and to the best of my knowledge it has never failed i have never used antibiotics as it destroyes the crop lining
