  4. mt nan kept tumblers and chickens when my dad was a boy, id have been about 6 or 7 when my dad got some fantails and tumblers i can still remember the day he brought 2 tumblers home and we kept them in a rabbit hutch type thing my dad made. it eventually progressed 2 a 20ft loft with racers.. i have fund memories of my childhood with my dad and the birds.. i got married and mortgage 5 years ago as soon as i got the keys to my house the loft was being planned.. unfortunatley my dad died in our first season at my house.. but i know when im down the garden with the pigeons im with my dad.. pigeons are in my blood and nothing else ive ever done gives me the buzz pigeons do...

    FASTING

my dad used to fast them for a day every now and then all year round, for the life of me i cant remember why but i know it was for a good reason,. also the same for dogs, i still do it.. my dog and birds both healthy all year round.. just wish the old man was still here so i could ask him!.. good topic, something ive always done but never talked about dont know why! works for me each to their own though..

  19. why you selling them mate? what have they done/bred. cheers
  20. see wat ur saying mate, i like fresh air to be able to enter the loft and circulate due to there being somewhere for the air to leave at top of loft. , saying that i have shutter opposite side of louve so i can shut down if to windy or cold nights, if u dont have escape for the stale air u simply have a draft and stale air rising to top of loft nowhere to go.
  21. good ventelation is when fresh air can enter loft and the stale air can leave. ie air enters through louve at bottom of loft and and exits through gap at top of loft back and front. if u have a little gap somewhere u will usally get a drft through it. hope that makes sense
  22. wil try 2moz mate.
  23. yes mate i made it so i could open up the front, but im gonna put a roof vent in soon, either way even if its all shut up there is still plenty of air inside i have louve at bottom and gap at top same as yours.
  24. mine is a blakes loft and i insulated mine keeps more of a constant temp and drfts out. plenty of ventelation though, im deffinatly glad i did it..
