Well both myself and son John back her. A nicer, kinder and more helpfull person they could not wish to have working for them. Seems the old problem here is someone has dared to say something that needs saying but the rest cant face. R.P.R.A needs to sort itself out while it still has something to be head of! At this rate pigeon racing will be a thing of the past in the not too distant future. Get some younger blood with different more modern ideas and lets have a sport to be proud of.

If someone needs hundreds of birds to race a YB program then it doesn't say much for their birds. When I raced to my old loft I had a 6' x 4' section with 24 YB's in it and of the 24 could virtually guarentee at least 17 of them left after all races and plenty of hard training. Small team is easy to keep on top of like you say and due to this is more often than not more efficient racing.

I breed a maximum of 30 YB's to race. Son has been incharge the last couple of years due to very unforseen circumstances but has done ok for himself, only took 3 races to break his novice status but I'm back now to show him how its really done lol. Chris you dont like um remember you said to give all them Cheq's to the Caldicot re-homing centre lol

I use a needle on a piece of cotton. Easy to test it out for yourself, simply get someone to put a bird in a box and hold it above then see wether its right or wrong by looking what bird is in there. clockwise for a hen anticlock wise for a cock. Found it to be 90 odd% accurate. Was sceptical and did that test, got 12/12 right. gets sex of unborn human babies right too!

It doesnt bother me really having to part with good birds, still got a loft full of good un's and plenty of prospects to breed more from the younger ones, like breeds like from my experience. There is only one pigeon in my loft I will never part with and that is the "Un Rung cock", will be 11yrs old come january and was a gift to me from my good friend Bill Haines. Some people wouldn't give a p*ss for an Unrung pigeon but this old boy has sired a good handfull of 1st Fed winners let alone club winners and has been paired to a daughter of the hen above and not rotated like all the others get due to his age. I will try and take a pic of him later and post it
