It doesnt bother me really having to part with good birds, still got a loft full of good un's and plenty of prospects to breed more from the younger ones, like breeds like from my experience. There is only one pigeon in my loft I will never part with and that is the "Un Rung cock", will be 11yrs old come january and was a gift to me from my good friend Bill Haines. Some people wouldn't give a p*ss for an Unrung pigeon but this old boy has sired a good handfull of 1st Fed winners let alone club winners and has been paired to a daughter of the hen above and not rotated like all the others get due to his age.
