Cheers Andy I could have done with borrowing your woolly hat too the last couple of days! Here is a couple of pics for those that are interested. They have now been in the aviery for 2 days and doing very well. Heater bulb is on 24 hours a day at the moment for when they need a bit of warmth and comfort but seem to be on the go too much to sun bathe lol. They look like raggy dolls now the feathers are starting to come through so might look a bit rough in the pic's but thats natures fault not mine! Cant wait till they are fully feathered as it will give the electric meter time to cool down lol

Debbie if you have had drivers down this way today they would of had to take it easy as the roads have been very bad. Seems council didnt want to get their gritters dirty. Doubt it will be any better tomorrow as been out and about all evening and only saw one gritter out again.

I dont mean thin as in skinny and nowhere did I mention racing weight, but a trimmer bird is a better bird compared with a fat one which is basically what you are saying yourself. I keep out and out racers and have entered them in shows and never come away without half a dozen or so cards so cant be that thick and stupid. The second pic's show the birds to not be so over weight but still my tilt would be a couple of days depuritive on some of them. Gone off the original pick of No7 but still think No8 or pic2 as it now is will be the best of the bunch there. Stick the red 'un in too, some judges love them from my experience.

Fat Birds aint eye catchers for the right reason though so how do you get them looking sharper, trimmer and not so lethargic? Starvation perhaps?? Plenty of stuff in a good depuritive mix to make them shine!
