Going to Malta on holiday from 11th November,for 10 days,could any one tell me if The Cafe Blue Bar,is still open?,in Qawra,or if they know of the meeting place for pigeon fanciers,in Bugibba,i think they meet in a pub?.When i was over in Malta 2 years ago i was lucky enough to have a Loft visit to Mario Farrugia,in San Palu,who i believe is a very succesful fancier over in Malta,he did give me his Tel number,but i have mislaid it,would like to give him another visit,as he was very helpful on my last visit.Hope someone can help,Thanks,Dai

Him8, 2 from 10 for me ,some didnt clock at all,others had good returns,i think they must have got mixed in with the Rhondda Valley Feds birds,i wonder what time they liberated? all ours stamped and telephone rings on,so can only hope they get reported. Another bad one like this week, and its all over after 4 Races!!!!!.Weve had a terrible week with Percy,around the loft,Hen teaching 3, Yes THREE !!!youngsters how to kill,our birds dont want to come out of the loft,Anyway i hope you get yours back Gareth,Cheers.Dai

IF ANYONE GETS ANY WELSH D OR T RUNG YOUNGBIRDS,FROM YESTERDAYS RACE FROM HULLAVINGTON,PLEASE PM ME,DOWN HERE IN PEMBROKESHIRE SOME FANCIERS DIDNT GET A BIRD,OTHERS 2 FROM 10, 5 FROM 15 ETC,THEY SEEM TO BE MIXED UP WITH THE RHONDDA VALLEY BIRDS,THE WEATHER IS RAIN AND MIST TODAY,SO NOT MUCH CHANCE TO GET HOME. We lost five,also way behind,not too bothered about the early races,but can,t afford to keep losing youngsters,ours had been well trained,so must have clashed bigtime,we had youngsters,oldbirds,welsh and GB birds coming back with our birds.We,might give hullavington a miss this week,especially if thier is north in the wind,they tend to end up in Cornwall,and the ybs wont come out of there.All the best if you send m8.

LAST WEEK AS SOON AS THEY WERE LIBERATED,PERCY WENT STRAIGHT INTO THEM AND TOOK ONE BEFORE THEY HAD A CHANCE TO GET THIER BEARINGS,PROBABLY SCARED BUNCHES OF THEM,JUST KEPT FLYING EAST,LOTS STILL HANGING ABOUT IN PEMBROKESHIRE,BUT WONT LAST LONG WITH THE AMOUNT OF PREDATORS ABOUT. OUR YOUNGBIRDS ARE BEING HIT ON NEARLY EVERY TRAINING TOSS,THIER MUST BE DOZENS OF PAIRS FROM MILFORD TO CARMARTHEN.

Maurice Verheyes, these were classed as sprint pigeons,but also won up to 500 miles,they were also an excellent cross,especially with Lefebre Dhaenens.

I am living near to Tenby, in Pembrokeshire, and the perergrine hen visits every day,my birds are kept in for winter,so she doesn,t get fed here,but speaking to some local sea anglers,they tell me,that,there are 3 or 4 different pairs in a 10 mile stretch of coastline from Llanstephan to Tenby,they have been seen taking gulls,so they must be getting hungry!!,lets hope they take a liking to them,but once the birds are let out in spring im afraid we will be in trouble again. :-

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH PIGEON RACING TODAY IS WITHOUT A DOUBT ,THE B.O.P PROBLEM,THEY DONT MIND IF YOU PAY £5 OR £5,000 FOR A BIRD,THEY WILL STILL KILL THEM,IF THIS PROBLEM ISNT SOLVED SOON,THIER WONT BE MANY FANCIERS LEFT TO BUY PIGEONS,ANYWAY!, MERRY XMAS.TO ALL ON PIGEON BASICS :)
