thought it would be other way round mate, barley begining of week building up mix as week goes on, jmo but all roads lead to rome

i would use poles mate, no work involved and i dont think they will crap much on others, a little bit of ... on them is better than... your lungs up, jmo

not enough mate, tried it, birds wont exercise, better adding some barley to your mix and feed till they start to leave the barley

i have mine on a deep litter of natural floor granuals, best thing i have ever done, all nestboxes and y/bird pipo boxes have grills so takes about 10 mins a day, i used to clean out 3 times a day a few years a go but that had to change when i got the dreaded pfl, but eh, it means more time watching the birds rather than being a slave to them

if the bird was eating ok 15 mins before it died tells me it cant have been ailing much mate as a poorly bird would have gone of its food, as i said probably a heart attack, had a stock bird 4 years ago content sitting on eggs, went back in with feed 10 mins later and was dead

same as humans mate, it could have had a heart attack

once the young start to leave the nestpan i put a pot of maples in each nest box for a few days, soon as they are eating well they go in y/bird loft and remain on peas till all are pearching

welcome young man, just do your own thing and you will learn as you go on, were all still learning, just enjoy your birds, winning will come in time
