what do you feed & supplements do you give your birds now racing has come to the end,during moult,& winter also when do exercise your birds

also eijerkamps are great sprinters

my low when old bird land races come to the end & then having 6 channel races straight afer each other,i only have a small loft,dont have the birds to send for 6weeks

mine has to be winning several 1st in my first old bird season & the one that sticks out is winning the fasest race we had this doing over 2100yrds a min & flying from a disadvantage area & birds having to drop on house before then coming in & i won it easy

i agree the one loft races are a bad thing,but i was stating the birds wasent lost on purpose as now they have no birds to sell as they have lost em all,so how has loosing the birds made em money

this a very hot topic at the mo!!!!,clearly the wrong decision to let em go,however it was not done on purpose as this has done them no favours for next year. being the race controller is thank less job you can have 20 good races & no one says a thing,then have 1 bad race & everyone jumps down your neck!!!!

how does 1oz compare to a spoonful? maybe i need to get my self some scales

does anyone use have used malted barley,what are the difference? can you still buy it?

does anyone else use spoons to measure food? i am i over feeding by giving table spoon morn & eve?

how does 1 & 1/2 ounce compare to a spoonfull? how many spoonfulls per feed for each bird

dads club is around £10 a point 5points for a 1st & so on 2 1/2 points of which you can only win if not in first 5 which keeps everyone interested the club works hard raiseing funds ie raffles,ect

i always after a bad toss go back to the shorter ones to build up that confidence back then move em further

i drove up from london this morning & it was clear right upto stoke then it was hazeyright upto blackpool & didnt realy clear till well into the afternoon,our birds were up at 10.20 big mistake loads of birds missing i got 3together after 1hr 45 to do 87miles before we expected em, thought it was gonna be a good race but the others were well split up i ended up 3rd,4th,5th would of had 1st,2nd,3rd if they would of come straight in but cant complain got 1missing & 1reported in bootle liverpool

last year i started off with 28 & ended with 28 and always gave them a good feed friday & again some sead around 4pm & believe this to help as they have plenty in reserve if its a bad race & we had a fair few & those which choose to belly em had big losses,dont get me wrong they were little buggers to get in at the shorter races but each to there own.
