thanks all it was a bad weather day the last race, everone in the club lost some birds that day, we lost 2 , but that one came back, so worth giving a chance next year

pigeon came back 2 months after last race, feet dirty, but looks in good shape, do these birds normally make good birds for the future? as ive heard a few people say that?

hi, i was wondering what your thoughts were on our loft set up to be? as in there will be 2 lofts sized 10x6 both divided into 2 sections, we have 10 prisioner stock birds also. any advice please as in what should go where? we will be breeding no more than 20 young birds in 2007 i.e: 1 section for breeding etc thanks

like mike said, observation is the best & keep everything 100% clean & DRY, & i have found that garlic water once a week keeps most nasties away. so always keep a fresh garlic bulb available. regards

WOW LOVELY MEMORIES FOR YOU I BET! great pics, i remember my very first pigeon coop it was a converted double kitchen cupboard (with the double opening doors removed & wire mesh in its place, & it was put on a fence post in my back yard) i was about 10. ;D

got a few strains, 1, jimmy white strain 2, ray fletcher strain (silver wings) 3, the late gentleman: MICKIE B STRAIN all from good distance blood. ( and i think thats all that matters at the end of the day? as long as the breeding is there, its a good firm solid base to start off from) but looking to get a good distance family together. regards & thanks

generally had a few trapping problems, (NOT NOW) nows the time i cut there feed down a little, you aught to see them trap now! 100 miles an hour through the bob traps i made! CHING, CHING, CHING! thats all you hear, also had a few nice mornings recently, had a few y/birds (late breds) untrained & unraced, so took them 3 miles away & all back CHINGING through the bob trap. a lot of time for planning like ben said. thanks all. snowy & westy.

miss racing YES! but still have to dig out a 10x6 or 8x6 2 foot high piece of soil, so hopefully santa might bring WESTY another loft to put next to his 10x6 one ;D ;D ;D be good son and you never know what santa & his reindeers might bring (lol) ;D

around 8-10 ft must be close to birmingham & as cheap as possible regards

a very good programme it was, especially for the non fancier, i think any pigeon information helps promote the sport

the very first bird we bred,(this year) the ring slipped off & we couldnt get it back on, (we gave this bird to someone 20 miles away, he kept it in for 3 months, tried to break it & he flew straight back to us)
