    Ebay

Morning All has anyone bought any of the treatments on sale on Ebay from the company in Spain? they seem to have all sorts at reasonable prices, was just wondering if they are the real deal? thanks
  2. Exactly right, dont understand why you kept it for a while and if the bloke wanted the bird back, he probably would have sent for it. dont understand why you are questioning him. Its his bird.
  3. Roland spot on, i have had this debate on another web site and got shot down from the off. my opinion is that because the birds are wrapped in cotton wool with hold overs, on only being liberated on days that suits a fast easy race, the first time they do get one where they have to work to get home, the losses are huge. birds are simply not good enough, as they have previously just had to follow the rest of the pack to make it home and nine times out of ten, its the quickest bird to trap that wins it... i had 3 away to Bourges with the UNC this weekend. none of them have made it home yet. my opinion, they were not good enough.
  4. in today, appears to have hurt his wing. SU09M 2608
  5. i would agree with this. does the loft have plenty of ventilation, could it be that they are on the dark system and not enough fresh air getting into the loft when they are all closed up?
  6. Thanks to redcheqhen for 4 outstanding youngsters i picked up yesterday. it was a pleasure to meet you and i look forward to trying the babies later this year. thanks again
  7. 19/20 back on Saturday by the time i left for the club, 40 minutes after my first bird. they came very well in their 2nd ever race at 118 miles.

    eyesign

could also be caused by inbreeding. do you know if his parents were closley related?
  9. Buyers wont be dissapointed. i bought 12 from Kev last year for my first season racing, still have 11 of them in the loft.
  10. Have the late breds from last year (August bred) up to 35 miles now. plan to race them the 1st 5 or 6 races this season starting on the 4th April and then may send them to a couple of shorter races later in the season. coming well so far, started with 23, lost 2 in training and one hit something. 20 left but like i say, very keen and im struggling to beat them home at the moment
  11. Spot on with the soap. pulling the flights out must be like haveing teeth pulled....

I missed what happend but have been reading a few of the related posts. is anybody able to name and shame the culprit? PM would do, just i am a mod on another site and would love to know if he is a member. thanks
  13. Has the thread been deleted? cant seem to find it
  14. Owen, i cant coment too much on eyesign, because like i said earlier, i know very little about it. What i do know is that Jack Barkel has walked into top fanciers lofts in SA and out of a loft of 50 or 60 birds, has picked out the combine and fed winners just based on eyesign?? Then also picked out the breeders of these winners in the stock loft. Luck i would say if he hadnt done it on more than one occasion including the loft of a very good friend of mine. i just dont understand how people are knocking a theory that has worked very very well for him.....
  15. I know absolutly nothing about the eye sign theory but i would really think twice before knocking it!!! i think Jack Barkels birds results speak for themselves both in the UK and in SA. Wouldnt mind comparing his results based on eye sign to the results of all those knocking it. just a thought
  16. I have bred a gay blue pied and black pied from a black hen and blue cock. neither of the parents have any pied on there pedigrees
  17. Stuart i am in Bristol next Tuesday. i could get them up to the north east if it makes it any easier or cheaper.
  18. i have one of the youngsters off your yellow cock, paired to a youngster off Davey's silver cock. sure to do very well at the distance mate, which is what i am after
  19. Chris if you look very closley, its the yellow cock i posted a picture of matey

  21. The silver cock from Davey Barkel
  22. one of the youngsters off the silver cock
  23. i have a few yellows, one silver cock a brother to one of Dave Barkels fed winners and favourite for Bourges last year, which has just bred a yellow youngster.
  24. His new best mate
  25. I wouldnt leave them in the loft, the fumes cant be good for them. would think you would be better off leaving them in baskets over night rather than in the loft.
