I have a 2007 latebred away to SNFC Eastbourne this weekend, trained him in his year of birth(which I think is important) raced him through our club programme as a yearling, and once again this year as a 2 year old. Saying all that, I am not keeping any latebreds for myself this year, only rearing 1 pair for another fancier

Any treatment I give to young birds, is held back untill they are off the darkness system, so as not to add anymore stress to them

I took mine off the darkness on Monday, just felt the youngsters had enough, and would now benefit from natural day light, also enables me to get them out at nights after work
