  2. Yea, Honeysuckle lofts are very good breeders.I bought a kit of 6 Jannsens and they were brilliant at races up to 300 miles.I tried pushing them further but Im afraid they werent up to it.Ponderosa is the stud for distance birds.
  3. IB, you have unbelevable knowledge in pigeon racing.Could you please instruct us how you would prepare your pigeons for the national races. Please tell us how you would keep your birds from disease in the lead up to your nationals and how you would feed and train them. Callum Smith
  4. Think boys, Delboy explained what was in feed. Why are we still guessing?

    Lanarkshire Fed

Same with Wilson and Jack and Davy Mitchell. Both won SNRPC races from west, am I correct.
  6. Our RPRA , I think are very efficient
  7. Depends what we think a champion is.Surely the winner that day must be a champion, and then you would say the 3rd, 4th, 5th Open are also. How many prizes do these birds have ? How many winners have they bred ? For me, CHAMPION is the ultimate and nothing less.
  8. Dont need tp darken for that long.( 6 - 8 weeks ) Problems arise if you do it for longer!!!! If wanting as old bird National pigeons, fly naturally with ybs.Think about your best distance birds over years and you will realise that they were not darkened as ybs. There are always the exceptions to this rule........
  9. Yes, best allround for me too. What do you mean , they will tell you what they want?
  10. Very interesting to know the Scottish National has been won in Ayrshire recently especially with the usual drag being up the east coast. Who won it and was it a strong east wind?? In my opinion, any other wind and it is a sensational win especially now with very little birds going from the extreme west of Scotland. Am I right with my assumptions??
  11. Good pigeons would be my choice
  12. I am proud to share the same surname as our Walter. Come on the Rangers .You have a great following down here in England
  13. Not sure the main ingredient of Parastop. but I know it is meant to be very good against paratyphoid as well as intestinal infections such as e.coli.Never used it myself but seemingly the DE WEERD products are very good, although very expensive.
  14. Terrible pain in the rear end Young Bird Sickness. I have read this thread with interest and nobody seems to have a definite idea in how we can avoid the virus. In the good old days any ailing young or old were quickly disposed of.How times have changed.
  15. I have met Joe Murphy and he seemed a nice bloke. I enjoy his writings as well.
