  1. I used the TauRIS system for three years with no problems, but when I moved clubs at the beginning of the year I changed to Unikon, as this was the one they use. So having now used both systems I would have to say that Unikon would be my 1st choice. If it wasn't for the pigeon politics in my previous Club I'm sure it would have been Unikon from the start, but that's all in the past........well for me it is!!!!!! :X :P At the end of the day, as long as the system clocks the birds on race day.
  2. I first introduced them early 2004 and have to say my results improved instantly. We have just finished what has to be one of the best seasons, topping the Fed four times, one week taking the first six positions. The biggest % of winning pigeons have either been 100% M&D Evans Gaby or a Gaby cross. In saying that, I've only managed to score with them upto 250 miles. Take a look at my website for further info on the birds I'm racing. Colin.
  3. Hi Dougie, Thanks for that. In Club racing the birdage ranged between 100 - 340 with about 12 members, Federation it ranged between 600 - 1900, not sure the members. Most of the results were either 100% Gaby or a Gaby cross, which I've been experimenting these past two season.........with good results!!! Colin.
  4. Well, that's the racing season over for another year. How did your results go in Club & Federation racing? Here are my results for 2009 - Club (Top 10 positions) 8 x 1st , 7 x 2nd, 5 x 3rd, 5 x 4th, 3 x 5th, 6 x 6th, 4 x 7th, 5 x 8th, 5 x 9th, 2 x 10th. Federation (Top 20 positions) 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 19th, 19th, 19th, 20th, 20th, 20th. Very pleased with the Club & Fed results but disappointed with the three National races I entered, which gives me something to work on for the future. Would love to see how other members got on this year. Colin.

  12. ****For Sale**** I would like to offer the following pair of ybs for sale. 13. Just to let you all know that the response has been fantastic from the members. I've a few options available to me which should see the safe return of the yb. Thanks for all your help, it's much appreciated. Colin.
  14. Hi mate, Thackley View is the address. Colin.
  15. I was wondering if their are any kind forum members that live near Bradford? The reason I ask is I've had a yb reported by a non fancier and would prefer it was with a local fancier, then I'll arrange a courier to bring it back to Scotland. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Colin.
  16. Rain and more rain here, as it has been for days. I even had the lights on in the lofts this morning as it was so dark, grey & wet.
  17. Hi Tenny, How are you doing my good friend? Have you any idea when their will be an update posted on the returns? Cheers, Colin.
  18. Hi Ian, It was just I noticed some guys saying that there's well over 200 birds home......perhaps they've still to update the website. No worries. Colin.
  19. Could I ask for someone to post all the arrivals (so far) from the final race please? When I go on the website I'm only seeing the first 192 birds. Thanks in advance!! Colin.
  20. A big well done to fellow club member Ali Hogg for a great result today. Not bad going to have three birds in the top 20......great stuff!!! Perhaps too early to say, but he must go close for Ace pigeon. One Loft racing at it's best.
  21. Well done to them all......great job. That's what you call 'true' pigeon men!!!
