The Canadian Press Share|CALGARY - Rain, snow, sleet and hail may not stop the mail from getting through, but dive-bombing birds sure will. Canada Post has suspended mail service in part of the southwest Calgary community of Bayview because a hawk has been attacking the letter carrier. The hawk is so aggressive it even broke a bike helmet the female carrier was wearing to protect herself. A family of the birds is living in a tree in the community, but hasn't harassed any of the residents. Some people say they were told it's because the hawks think the carrier is a predator. Canada Post spokeswoman Theresa Williams says they'll try delivering the mail to the affected 150 homes again next week. "We're going to go out Tuesday, regardless," she said. "We'll take the mail out with us and attempt delivery. If we have no issues and no incidents we'll do it again the next day, until hopefully the birds will have definitely proven to be out of the nest." The hawks are set to move south soon.

Yep we won comfortably enough. Rooney's best game by far ever ( 6 good against 8 bad as it was G. Johnson's... But even Daglish had 2 or 3 decent games for Scotland out of his 112 (well supposedly) and the manager should have discarded him - (y idol at Liverpool, great world class CLUB player, but an international)! Nah on paper only like a lot more. Does his club mate Banes ring a bell! Only concern is we KNOW that Greg Johnson will make at least let an goal be score because he isn't able to play at National level either. So we have to expect only a 3 - 1 win Tuesday. He thinks he is on the right side what Ashley Cole is on the Left! Cole has a brain and can adapt. Can attack and GET back and Still in a proper position whereas Johnson let's it slide and loses his way. In fact not an Ashley but any stretch of the imagination ... wish we could get shot of the pair of them ... like Transfer them to Scotland where they would be a little more than superior!

Next time you think your hotel bill is too high, you might want to consider this: My wife and I are travelling by car from Fife to Edinborough. After almost eleven hours on the road, we were too tired to continue, and decide to take a room. But, we only planned to sleep for four hours and then get back on the road. When we checked out four hours later, the desk clerk hands us a bill for £350.00. I explode and demand to know why the charge is so high. I tell the clerk although it's a nice hotel; the rooms certainly aren't worth £350.00. Then the clerk tells me that £350.00 is the 'standard rate'. I insisted on speaking to the Manager. The Manager appears, listens to me, and then explains that the hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference centre that were available for us to use. 'But we didn't use them. 'Well, they are here, and you could have,' explains the Manager. He goes on to explain we could also have taken in one of the shows for which the hotel is famous. 'We have the best entertainers from New York, Hollywood, and Las Vegas perform here,' the Manager says. 'But we didn't go to any of those shows’. ’Well, we have them, and you could have,' the Manager replies. No matter what amenity the Manager mentions, I reply, 'But we didn't use it!' The Manager is unmoved, and eventually I gave up and agreed to pay. I write a cheque and give it to the Manager. The Manager is surprised when he looks at the cheque. 'But sir,' 'this cheque is only made out for £50.00.''That's correct, as I charged you £300.00 for sleeping with my wife.' 'But I didn't!' exclaims the Manager.
