I have had a loft with pigeons and done quite well, but as i do the paper work and record each bird on saturdays i would :)like something different for myself. But would like to know some information before i jump in feet first.

Can anybody help me? My man is down the loft 24/7, would like to be there with him so i'm looking at aquiring finches, canaries or diamond doves, can anybody give me any info, how to keep these and do they need any treatments, and where i can get them from in my area. Been on bird trader, would like to go to a small bird fancier to find out a bit more.

if u was on a blow home your still looking at 5 hours @ 50mph, may b u should b looking at a all round family and just find out how 2 condition a sprinter, good reliable birds ar better thhan the some times birds.

theres not many familys around today that sprint from 1 odd two 12 hours i only no off a few

if these bird are wege shape all shoulders and front thay tend 2 fell heaver than the slimmer type, but u must allways remember if the fuel is not in the tank u want get the millage,a case of everone 2 there own devices.

i agree see fanciers hold a birds 4 ringing at the club house lift um up n down and say this is 2 light this is 2 heavy thay was never right, personally my birds fly best with weight,then thay thrive on races 1000ypm to 1400 ypm week in week out.

This all depends on weather your breading or racing as the breaders water and race water vary very much.
