Top eye is top class breeding/Distance pigeon. Bottom eye is also a very good racing eye but not much on brreding am affraid
  4. Pure class. Just look at the eye
  5. good good
  6. Yes was surprised myself to see it took away?? You be at show this year Maverick?
  7. I have actually got pigeon lung(only 23) and I had to go buy a well ventulated hut and its apex roof on that. The air that circulates around it is unbelievable and I would have to say if i never made the change I would not be in the game anymore. I also have to use my aircap at all times as well of course
  8. 15th actually clashes with Dunoon international. You's prob would have been better sunday shows but I can see why saturday would be obvious choice
  9. Good to see more shows coming for scotland. Really lack club/fed shows
  10. £30 to get it started Kenny
  11. Not seen any snow in Midlothian but heard 10 miles away is getting some but not lying
  12. I echo Tammy. I have a loft of 50 Dordins/Kilpatricks all bought for the showing side of things and my birds are broke into teams as I also will show every sat/sun now till Blackpool
  13. Grizzles are ok but not many white ones win. They need to be very very special indeed
  14. Just depends when you split pairs up I believe. My racers show in winter months so I split very early to push through molt for November
  15. Red cheque your right naturline is a very good suppliment. I only started using 2 years ago and would never not give my birds it through moult now. I use twice a week when moult is over.
  16. Show birds should be fed conditioning seeds and peanuts avery second morning and a good main feed at night. Also a good trick between shows is feeding a dupertive mixture for 3/4 days and as show approaches build up tp 75%dep 25%Mix and then 50 50 and then full mixture. Also a good thing when you feed full mixture is to put cod liver oil on mixture and add Brewers yeast. This brings the birds on no end and they have blown up muscles but not the fatty feel, Nice and solid. But dont make the brewers yeast thing a regular accurance as if used to much it stops taking affect. Just judge it right and the results are brilliant.
  17. My birds are fully through moult
  18. How much you looking for the blue pied hen with the white bib on neck Kenny? 8th down I think
  19. Welcome... Pretty new myself and good forum indeed
  20. I have cracking looking dordins and I feel Jim Hannah thinks they are too good looking as I cant ever think of recieving any tickets from him. But thats the great thing about the shows.... My opinon will never be the same as other people's. I will still be there enjoying the day even if I win or loose. So Gareth I think you should give it a try. Should even have asked your Dad to judge as he certainly knows a good pigeon lol. Only based on the fact he gave me 1st prize at Whitburn show 2 years back.. Cheq hen in old hens handled. Wonder if he remembers her?
  21. Did the above judges not judge before?? Sure Derek Hay and Jim Hannah did??
  22. Thank you Naedoos. Never managed to win on stage yet so got a strong team this year to try win that BIS cup lol
  23. Come from Midlothian to show each year and very enjoyable. So noted in diary and see everyone there
