  1. The mistake you made andrew. Was you did not openly come out and say i am a pigeon dealer some i make on some i dont, then there could not have been any thing said about you and you would not have lost the trust of the people on here. As there would have been nothing wrong in doing what you do, as there are many dealers doing just that on here, then it up to the people if they want to deal with dealers then they do but most will only do when trust is there, and sorry andrew you have lost that.Even now when you try to sell a decent bird for a decent winning loft.
  2. One that holds 6.000 with 4.000 trailer should do us, and yes garth it will happen us together even the ones that dont want it will have to bite there tongue and go along with it if they want to continue racing there birds.

Know one is arguing that there not good pigeon men because they are good flyers i take my hat of to anyone who can fly a good bird. but there is big dif from flying in to the east than there is in to the west that is all i arguing about. not who is the best. exp young bird racing.

Yes wings you are right, most of these people forget it lot harder race flying in to here than any other part of scotland the west i meen, you just need to look at the dif in the vel from the east to the west, *expletive removed* you could get a paper bag to fly in to there area.

you always get that some have good returns wile others have been slaughtered, i going with what i herd of in the west.
  9. The race coverage has been nothing short of a disgrace with the amounts of money involved it should have been lot better than this. Now i for one are not trying to say there is any funny stuff going on but wen money of this nature is involved then it has got to be seen as all above board and were they can be no talking points, and this race has not got that,

Looks like it was not a good race lot of birds missing .
  11. There is no agenda for breakaway fifer that will not even come up, it just to try and move pigeonracing forward to try and give the pigeons the best chance we can give them, they may need to be some hard descions taken but it for the best hopefully, and as bart says the transporter and baskets are a disgrace, they were supposed to be getting renewed over last few years . I was at last meeting of this movement and it was conducted in good nature and only about how we can change it for the best, as part of the fed. as for race controling it will take some better than me to sort that out as it not as easy as it sounds as we are on the busiest route in the uk, it would be all right if evey one going north was at one point and other way round but that is not the way and cant be either, and the we need to get up first routine must be stopped , in good weather there is no need to have the birds up at 7 or 8 in the morning we can sit till mid day if have to, there is some level headed people involved with this and then you have the likes of me ha ha ha but seriously they are all for the best racing we can have nothing more.

It is lot of tosh this they did best they could under the current climate of things, well sorry that is not good enough wen it is not fair to a fairly large sec of your members then it should be put of for the year. To be honest how this commitee have got away with there actions this year is behond beleive, no wonder the other clasic clubs are gaining in membership.
  15. There not much wrong with the birds, it is the foxwood stud that is the problem with there tratment of there customers, and must say it was a surprise as wen spoke to the owner he sounded sincere guy but his follow up was very poor.
  16. i know if i was on that waiting list i would cancel right now, he got 60 birds for sale to go to auction, wile he has 2 year waiting list. i would invest my money else where as there lot of good strains of birds out there just as good. One of them my mate just bought 3 pair of. and he delighted with them and only cost £80 a pair and all are g/chil of U.N.C. winners or breeders of the combine winners F. Sheader sootjens.
  17. bobby c, beleives it is radar that is one of the reasons he does not like newbury with the nat, and what i noticed wen traveling to my sisters in northallerton wen you get just by penrith on the east side there is tank ranges and other army depots with radar masts and those big circle radar things as well. going down that side of the country. food for thought.
  18. there is plenty of mid week racing in england were the birds are lib so they dont arrive before certain time it can be done.

  24. pigeons wen it hot see the road reflect and it looks like water so they fly down for drink. that is part of the road q answered. as for the rest well vaccination came in in the early 80s hawks came in about that time and still growing mobile phone masts bit later and i now have 6 of them less than 100 yrds from my loft, the bit about the breeding well 20 year a go there were double sometimes trble the people who kept birds, than there is now but the birdage has not dropped that amount to show that. as we are breeding 2 to 3 times the amount of birds now, yes some birdage has dropped but not to that amount. so there is 2 to 3 times amount of rubbish bred. yes birds may be faster now, but to what cause, the homing ability in pigeons has decreased. in smashes it does not count as much, but week to week racing it does. smashes there is as many good as bad lost.
  25. there is no easy answer to clashing, that does not meen we dont try to sort it out, there is 7 days in a week so that gives us 7 possible race days, and if you stick to races from 70 to 100 mile for races from mon to fri, and lib were no birds are home before 5-30, we could ease some of it. personaly i dont think young birds need raced to 170 to 400 mile as young birds . and if people want this then let them have the sunday. the rest who want sat racing can then sort some system out to help prevent clashing. the thing with pigeon people is you come up with some idea it gets shouted down cause they always look for way to put it down we dont like change. and i honestly beleive pigeon racing will die a death in scotland before the rest of the world for that simple reason we live in the dark ages, we are miles behind other country's could people who have knowledge of the continent tell me do they have same problem with clashing, and if not why not. and before some one jumps in and gives me we were first with e.t.s in the uk dont.
