  1. maybe a mosquito bite how big is the lump may have knocked it jumping or a abscess keep your eye on it and keep it clean see if gets better
  2. i know they are but if you read her post carefully then you would see that she has lost them and doesn't look like they are coming back :'(

  4. oh dear sorry to hear that sure someone will give ya some nice birds to get ya started again i would but we have only just started and don't have many yet good luck with it in the future ps did ya ask who ya got them off if they gone back there?
  5. when i was younger there were thousands of wild pigeons but over the past few years they nearly all gone they had all poisoned and there wire all over the shop to stop them landing when there's to many then diseased is a problem and numbers need to limited but they should look after the pigeon population better not just kill them all i wonder how many race bird have fallen for poison food when tied & hungry just a thought

  8. sorry to hear that m8 i know how it feels we have lost two of are birds one of them today still hoping it will be back 2moz but that's the way it goes sometimes don't lose your heart they maybe back when there hungry birds with a full crop will stay out maybe a day or two if they don't stray to far they be back don't worry about sparrow hawks they will usually only attack lone bird so if yours stick together they should be fine good luck with getting them back if they do come home i would keep em in for two days then let them fly again when there hungry
  9. my favorate has to be my first ever pigeon when i was a young lad playing in a old power station i noticed somone had been before me shooting the pigeons i could here a sweaking so i took a closer look there was two small sweakers one of them all ready dead i took pitty on the one still just alive so i took it home and hand reard it soon it grew so i started to biuld a loft out of a old shed so i got it some friends in the way of some doves i called it scagg time whent buy and i moved towards racing pigeons thou i was only 9years old never got to race any before i left home and sadly had to give it up but now iam back in partnership with a old freind we just got are first birds this week and iam looking forward to getting back into the sport
