  9. if anyone else has had any problems with this pigeon supplier, who is the only one who sells this software please pm me and let me know.
  10. hello.i would like to warn everyone of the dangers of purchasing software over the internet.i recently purchased the "pigeon loft organiser"software from a certain well known pigeon supplier.when it arrived it was in a cheap case with a printed out cover and a disc with a copied programme on it.i paid £50 for the software which is what you would expect to pay for a genuine edition.i am shocked that these people have done this to me.i intend to complain to the appropiate authorities because what they are doing is also illegal.paul
  11. i am shocked by the amount of birds that are going missing.to many i think even for the bop to be taking them all.all feds have had bumps this year all over the country.its very difficult to find the reason for these lossess but one thing is for certain the lossess are getting worse not better.i decided not to race my youngsters again this year and start them off as yearlings instead.they will still be trained as normal.i did the same thing last year and only lost six out of 22 yearlings.i raced them up to 200 miles and stopped them.but next year i should be able to take them further as 2 year olds.
  12. hi has anyone heard of a strain of pigeons called gitts.a charateristic of this strain is featherleggs.is this true of the strain and does anyone know where i can get some.i have one pair of gitts but i only have the fanciers word that they are gitts.i would like to brred a family of them but need another pair to avoid interbreeding.
  13. hi.have any of your lost birds worked back to you yet.was just wondering.paul
  14. you should now be able to select more than one option
  15. hi.i am interested in monitering the losses that we are all experiencing.i plan to do this with a series of polls.any opinions are also welcome.thanks paul.

  17. picked up 00742 from brixham yesterday, she was with a non fancier but in good shape concidering she has been out for 3 months.they are all turning up slowly.
  18. please see my other thread{another one of my birds found}if i can help with a pick up in the south devon area.pm me with the details.paul
  19. i,m off to south devon friday to pick up a bird of mine that a non fancier has reported.she tells me that a group of 20-30 pigeons visit her every day and she feeds them in her kitchen. i lost the bird from newbury last april but looking at where she is,she has flown home and straight on to torquay. .she also tells me that there are a few other welsh birds and gb birds in the group.i intend to pick all these racers up and bring them back to south wales.i will also post the ring numbers on here as soon as i have them.those that are not claimed or wingstamped etc will be released from newport in south wales and hopefully find their way back to their homes.my little pied hen that i am picking up is a good distance bird, all i have to do is get her to fly in the right direction. :D
  20. hi mark.i am from newport in south wales.i am also fairly new to the sport but now established.when i first started i was gifted a few birds from some local fanciers which really helped me along.i would like to offer you a few late breds to start you off.their not quite ready yet but will be in a week or two.pm me if you like them.and welcome to the site.paul
  21. i know.i have had youngsters range for a few hours thats normal.but this has got me spooked.they have all been out yesterday and today with no problems at all.another fancier has suggested to me that they may have been out in the fields now that the crops are starting to come in but for 2 days.must have been one hell of a party.
  22. last monday i let my birds out as usual at 5pm,the only difference on this day was that i let my old and younsters out together.i came out of the loft after scratching out expecting to see them circling to land as usual, but not today, not a bird in sight.no need to worry i thought they will be back soon.at 9pm still not a bird in sight,at 10pm i closed the loft up with 34 birds missing.the next morning,i got up expecting to see them on the loft but still no birds.tues ended with me very depressed.on weds eve as i was inside the loft cleaning i heard a bump bump on the roof ,i looked out to see about 10 pigeons up there with the rest circling to land.i counted them 34 all there and upon handling a few of them i can find no visible signs of injury or tiredness,in fact they seem a lot better for their experience but a few things are puzzling me.where have they been for the last 2 days, how on earth did they manage to stay together.dont get me wrong i am over the moon that they are back, but its just so strange how it took place.
