i know what u mean,i used 2 hav a staffi it was brought up around the kids it was a great dog.but i think a staffi is 2 big.

would you think a whippet might be better around toddlers and the birds???

dads letters are dated 1988 we think and the pedigrees and receipts have got a price of £50 a bird for 3 year old sons and daughters off this galabank whatever

he says that in one of the letters that he was an auctioneer and as such could get a chance of some of the best about at that time

dont know if he flew into scotland but the letters are postmarked london and on pedigrees we can make out galabank something or other schouman

you are right enough about pedigrees vallance very difficult to make out the writings that bad we thought he must have been a doctor

we found some letters and photographs amongst dads old stuff and we reckon he must be some age if hes still with us

dad told us about a wally pope that he used get pigeons from anybody any info on him and what he did with the birds if anything and what strains he flew dad said it was kirkpatricks he got from him

we have already coaxed him to take us to doncaster and blackpool lol

thank you tippler is it worth travelling from scotland for we have never been to a big show and its only about three and a half hours from us so we could probably coax dad

we are just waiting to see if we are accepted into one of our local clubs but after reading some of the things on this thread we are beginning to wonder if we have done the right thing and maybe should just have kept our birds as pets and never mind trying to race them if there is as many nasties out there :-/
