  1. Looks like the birds have been in the nest at some time because the ring has moved from where I last saw it. Another thing that caught my attention is why is there a nice clean ring in there in the first place,it's obviously new nesting material and I don't think there's been a kill in there. Maybe just my suspicious mind, there are some devious people around.

  19. Hi Mark, They don't need sunshine mate, there's enough rays get through on a rainy day to do the job. A farm was built in the Solway visible from the village where I live, some of the local fishermen say they are starting to lean with the constant tidal flow. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1337444
  20. My own personal opinion is they are a complete waist of time and money, surely solar power is the way forward ?? How much does it cost to maintain them, the ones in this area are either broken or under repair, several have not turned for a long time.
  21. Most of these are on the line of flight depending on the wind direction and within four miles of my loft,I would think they would be a problem for the early young bird races where the birds MIGHT arrive in a flock, then again a single bird can have a mishap. http://www.visitcumbria.com/wc/windfarms.htm Lindsay
  22. Happy birthday to both, hope you have a great day. Lindsay.
