I'm with the snrpc and the snfc due to my dad . I only started last year seriously to help him and learn but I got the doo bug and am now hooked. I don't know about all the politics sh.t but I did notice last year that when sending my birds there was no eyeballing and whispering in corners when I was marking with the snrpc the same could not be said for the other however I'm still in both and will attempt to race with both so I'm saving my judgement till after my first season racing on my own. In my limited opinion if guys could stop bitching and slagging each other off and concentrate on racing doos the whole sport would benefit just my opinion

I have been at this a tea break I don't know much but I can see that this great sport is suffering I have only been at this for a few years but have lived it through my late father for twenty years and the only reason I didnt take it up sooner was that I never had the disipline to put up with all the bitching but after being badly injured in Afghanistan I could not compete at a high level in football and found pigeon racing could still give me a competitive outlet, I think that there is a lot that this sport can give to younger men as well as the older generation and my question still stands is how do we advertise or educate people as to how good this sport can be . I see a lot of new members joining this site and a lot of what they see is grown men that could not agree on the colour or sh.t lol we need to find a way back to making this sport great again . I don't know enough to even start but the experience on here is vast I'm sure if we all stopped arguing for just five min we could come up with one or even two good ideas between us it can't hurt to try.

Lads let's not turn this into another on line bitching session this is about how we can all improve our sport and attract not just young new members but older ones aswell I'm just new to this sport but lived with it for years through my dad but the only reason I never got involved was because of all the moaning and bitching . I want this sport to get stronger and want to know how we can do this

Hi Duncan we lost two members today from Clackmannan but the question I have for everybody is can we do anything better to try and promote our sport more to attract new members . A lot of people who ask me questions about pigeon racing always sound fascinated but I think the lack of promotion and encouragement leaves many potential new members with to many questions . How can we all work together to solve this.

What a day I drove my dad to the crem on his last trip . I pulled up in his first ever can and could not be more proud to have granted him his last wish which was to arrive in a Morris minor there was a few smiling faces . Thank you to all the doo men that made it and special thank you to Ian brown for his beautiful words about my dad . I have to give a special thank you to Bert sharpe for coming today because I know he was not fit or healthy enough to be there but he made it cheers mate he would have been sending you back home to take care of yourself but me my mum and graham appreciated it Take care dad love you always Sleep tight xx

Thank you for all the kind messages over the last week since loosing my dad. I would like to ask all the fancies that knew my dad to join me and my family at Falkirk crematorium on Friday the 5th of September to give him the send off he deserves . I look forward to seeing an excellent turn out from all the guys and thank you so much in advance for you support .

My dads cremation will be on the 5 th sep at 1 o'clock in Falkirk crematorium and I know he would love to see a good turn out from the doo men so I hope to see as many as can make it . It might be the only doo meeting he would not cause an argument at lol

I'm sorry to to say that this morning my dad passed away very peacefully . My dad was very happy to have know his friends in this great sport which has made him very happy and helped him achieve the things in this sport he always wanted to. I will be continuing to fly my dads birds and to try and maintain his good name in this sport and if I can help anybody out the way he always tried to I will . I will be in touch with funeral arrangements ASAP as I know he would love for anybody who wants to come would be more than welcome .
