yes Tony , and maybe applicable to your area specifically , in Wales and many area,s of Scotland where soft water is present the additives arent as severe .

well i can give an opinion , wether considered an expert , probably far from it . the information youve been given is good . however you dont need to boil it , i store my water in large 4 litre soft drink container,s for 24 hours prior to the birds getting it , the chlorine within will and does disapate . best of luck .
