hi every one does any one use cinnamon on the corn of your birds to stop young bird sickness happening.just saw it some where that a fancier as used it for about five years and not got young bird sickness in that time

hi everyone i have ten pigeons to give away to a new starter or some one who just wants birds as a hobby.they are roland janssens and staf v reets if any one is interested or knows anyone just get in touch i live in cumbria so they are yours free of change

only started training them last sunday with them having young bird sickness took them 5 miles.I beat them back by two minutes then one of the lads told me most of the lads in the club were up to 15 plus miles.I took a chance by taking them 15 miles to let go home in 30 minutes.but two down one reported 7 miles away went for it and the other was found in one my club mates loft not even half a mile away.one of the lads took them 20 miles away with his and all home in 40 minutes so he took them back the next day and all home in 30 minutes.I was well pleased with them so he took mine and his to 32 miles they were all home in 55 to 65 minutes i was over the moon with them as its my first year of racing young birds and training.transporter took them 42 miles and 3/4 of them home in 58 minutes and the rest home with in two hours.two days rest then back out to the 42 mile mark hope i am doing right with them.

thanks for replys one of the lads came round to see if he was able to help very nice of him.he check a few of the worse over and said i needed a broad spectrum antibiotics.i got some and put it in the water when in the loft this morning early before it got light to see if any more corn was thrown up or any more were dead.i got a nice surprise no corn thrown up or dead and the droppings looked back to normal or is just hopeful thinking on my part.I will do as he as told me with it for a few days and hope it gets it sorted.then it comes right i will know what to look out for if it happens again.but thanks again to yous for keeping right

when in my hut sunday morning and saw three birds not right had young bird sickness the week before treated them by not feeding them for 36 hours.then building them up with a diet mix and aviform 7 in 1 in the water.they looked great after six days.but three days later three not right moved to a section on they own.when in the hut this morning one of the three was dead and then when into the other section that had young bird sickness. one had thrown corn up over night moved it out straight away and cleaned it up before the others saw it.when in before it got light so saw it before the birds so just to see if you can get it twice.started to treat for it again today pulling the last of my hair out any ideas

started with 29 birds 5 left after just five races only hope the same does not happen with the young bird racing.the old birds were raced last year.but still lost them

does any one know of anyone selling staf van reet pigeons in the cumbria area thanks for any replys.

can any one let me know who for the last two seasons as won club young bird averages and last year the fed young bird averages in workington cumbria.

had a pigeon reported dead in cheshire from a training toss last week which was 40 miles away.so it had gone the other way from its home by another 120 miles. it was raced last year so do not know why it went the other way.

hows this for you had a phone call to say about one of my pigeons lost training this week off a women she got my number by the rpra when reporting it.but the best bit is she as not got it in just seen its ring number what does she want me to do go sixty miles with a net and ladder to try catching it off her roof or in the air.why report it if you have not got it in its a non fancier.

i every one heres a question for you can a member from another club sign the form that you get with your pmv vaccine after doing them for the racing season.or does it have to be lads from the same club as you.

does any know of a pigeon man or woman in the cumbria area who is selling karel boeck pigeons.if so can you let me know as iam wanting to start a family of them.thanks before i forget.

getting the versele laga from a little shop down the road and the wheat and barley from a farm a mile away from me in cumbria.

just to see if any lads use versele laga pro breeding/racing corn and if you do what do you think of it.iam getting bags for £8.70 at the moment so iam mixing it with my wheat and barley now its only costing me £6-7 pound a week instead of £17 a week to feed 80 birds.iam getting the wheat and barley off a farmer in 25kg bags for £5 a bag thinking of adding layer pellets to it as i have seen and heard of lads using them.

does any one know the phone number of dave (sugar)wilson in egremont cumbria have found lots of wilsons in that area.

hi every one just to see if any one as used pigeon treatments before as i have seen a combi powder for the treatment of canker and coccidiosis in the bhw.if any one as used it what do they think of it.

came in today some thing wrong with wing and leg may have hit a wire/tree.lad in club going to have a look at it any one know whos it is.
