2 years a ago we had a hen her cock died before she laid but she seat herself just came of the nest the odd time sort of stopped going to the feeder so I feed and watered her in her box but the box was allways opened if another bird cock or hen came into the nestbox she put them out hatched and reared the 2 young by herself THAT SAID WE HAVE FANTAILS hope this helps -

i couldnt get any help i was having trouble attaching more than 1 photo in the gallery i know someone will have to move these sorry again but i wanted everyone to see the photos we had our 6 young fantails out for the first on Tuesday it took a while to get them in 4 went into the loft with the older birds 2 in the smaller rearing loft but the all came in anyway here's some photos enjoy love the colour of this bird I think it looks great and with a black tail
