  3. Got a stray in the beginning of last week and phoned the number on the clip ring and found it was a bird racing from Thurso then tonight got in another stray covered in oil and again phoned the number on the clip ring to discover it belonged to the same fancier in the south of england as the stray I got in the week before except this time it had been lost from an Arbroath race a few weeks before, ??) what are the chances of that happening :-/

Heard an in credible tale from Doomaloon on the phone tonight, but I will let him reveal all himself, all I will tell you is that it involves a pigeon, a sparrowhawk, a peregrine, a cat and a Jack Russell and last but not least RTBirnie from this site. Wait until you hear this one you couldn't make it up ??) ??) :X :X Doomaloon will reveal all in due course

  19. Well done Kevin, a good doo
  20. I'm sure they will work in for you guys, After my disaster on Tues evening I am now up to 60/67 so keep your chins up and have faith. I know how you feel and it ain't pleasant but give them a day or two In season 2005 we had a similar thing happen, we had 70 y/bs away ranging when the weather closed in with fog and rain, only had 4/70 back by dark. over the next 2 or 3 days we got most back, dropping around 6 or 7. These youngsters won all before them that season, 8x 1st club, 2 x 1st fed and 14th & 33rd open y/b national at 386 miles winning the young bird average in club and fed so sometimes what seems like a disaster can be a blessing in disguise
  21. Nae bad George ;D I've had a few training tosses fae the crem at Aberdeen :X
  22. Definately, turned out a lot better than I ever imagined it would. Hopefully the birds should have learned a lot from this experience.
  23. 2 more on the loft in morning, 4 more arrived between 12noon and 1pm and 1 more at 7pm tonight so now up to 60/67 I will sleep a little easier tonight ;)
  24. Now 53/67 getting there slowly
  25. Now 46/67, I've been tempted to lie down in a coffin at work today and get one of my colleagues to screw the lid down, this is torture ;D Haven't checked the loft since 2pm so hopefully one or 2 more when I get home at 5pm
