  1. Well done Walter, not just for the sale but throughout the season, keep up the good work The race controller Billy Whyte also desrves a pat on the back for his efforts to ensure good racing for us all and all involved in running the fed, well done to all.
  2. Red Cheq cock, has taken a knock on the keel, any takers?
  3. Same here, every single bird came out of the north, finished 3rd, 4th and 8th club, first two arrived together, nestmates both grandchildren of Ritchie & Whyte's "Margaret"
  4. 18/18 from Ripon 234 miles, great race to end the season :-/
  5. Couldn't agree more Robbie, I have 18/18 today
  6. I can see that I'm never going to live that one down :-/ Just remember he who laughs last, laughs longest :X
  7. Only ended up there one night, it wasn't too bad, the bar staff would bend over backwards to help you ;D ;D ;D
  8. Woolie was in that club also, he said it was better than being in the hotel room listening to his room mate snoring ;D ;D :X :X
  9. Once I knew what sort of club it was, I kept my a**e to the wall :o I was looking for you at the time Ian and was told that you frequented that club ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I won't end up there this year that's for sure, the only problem is I can't remember the name of it :o
  10. Just clocked my 2nd bird at 10.03
  11. Just clocked in at 07.22am, pleased to see her as it is raining down here
  12. Well done Derek.
  13. Beautiful day here in Peterhead, brilliant sunshine with a light westerly breeze. Moon is visible too though :-/
  14. ;D ;D :X
  15. Had a hen sparrowhawk hit a young bird last week, luckily the youngster managed to escape minus a few tail feathers. They are everywhere at the moment :-/
  16. Cheers Jim, think I will need it, jumping them 220 miles, have laid by a dozen for next year and am sending the other 31 to Consett 183 miles Good luck to you also Jim
  17. Sending 9, 340 miles to me in Peterhead, weather looks okay
  18. And me :X ;D
  19. 10 candidates for me, but it will depend on the weather forecast, these will be jumped from 124 miles to 340, so the ten I am looking at all have had an hour or two longer on the wing from previous races than the rest of the team. Being on the darkness gives me more choice and having only dropped 7/60 over 7 races I can afford to risk one or two more than I normally would. We still have 2 fed races to go also but I will keep around 12 back this week and a few more won't go to the final race. :o "best laid plans of mice and men" :o
  20. Fantastic service yet again from Wayne, picked up 8 birds from me here in Peterhead this morning at 9am and just received a phone call from pigeondave in Cleveland at 8.30pm. to say he had just received them. Have used Flying Couriers a few times now and have had an excellent service each time, 100% A1 ;)
  21. No problem, I will find out who it belongs to and let them know, thanks Walter and thanks to the Aberdeen fed for bringing them up the road.
  22. Well done Delboy, fantastic result and the money going to a very worthy cause My new loft has been put on hold now, but never mind it was good to have a doo in the final race.
  23. Totally agree, I have always believed this is the way forward. If each fed worked together to sort out a race programme that would allow them all to come together once they are at a suitable distance this would surely benefit the birds. But it is hard enough getting one feds members to agree on a race programme let alone 4 or 5 feds :-/ jmo
  24. I did think of that but they had their tea break about 20 mins before the birds arrived ;D ;D Maybe some of my clubmates paid them to take their tea break earlier ;D ;D Every minute felt like an hour when the birds were going round and round, it's murder at the time but once the dust settles all you can do is have a laugh about it ;D. and enjoy watching the rest of the birds returning.
  25. 54/54 from Brechin 62 miles, timed at 10.05am from 9am lib so can't complain apart from the trap, got 12 on the drop which flew around the loft for 4 and a half mins :-/ due to 2 diggers, a road roller and dumper trucks emptying hardcore about 80 feet from the back of my loft, hope they have finished by next week but I don't think they wil be :( It's a frustrating game but I suppose everyone get's days like this ;D ;D ;D
