  12. Vulture comes under Carion i believe which crows are the less abled members of and hawks come under same type i believe Carrion (from the Latin caro, meaning meat) refers to the carcass of a dead animal. Carrion is an important food source for large carnivores and omnivores in most ecosystems. Examples of carrion-eaters, or scavengers, include Hyenas, Vultures, Virginia Opossum, Tasmanian Devils, Black Bears, Komodo Dragons, Bald Eagles, Raccoons and Blue-tongued lizards. Many invertebrates, such as worms and carrion beetles (family Silphidae) also eat carrion and play an important role in recycling animal remains. Carrion begins to decay the moment of the animal's death, and it will increasingly attract insects and breed bacteria. Not long after the animal has died, its body will begin to exude a foul odour caused by the presence of bacteria and the emission of cadaverine and putrescine. Some plants and fungi smell like decomposing carrion and attract insects that aid in reproduction. Plants that exhibit this behavior are known as carrion flowers. Stinkhorn mushrooms are examples of fungi with this characteristic. This ecology-related article is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it. Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrion" oops hawks different but surely as digest the whole animal if small bird must be effected the same way http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawk
  13. i was the one percent also ;D ;D ;D ;D
  14. i dont see it as grassing more preventing as last post said birds went missing perhaps destined for the table , if this is the case then if they were caught then hopefully there night time actions would stop

  20. nope no write ups on him on pipa.be
  21. i think one loft races are just a money making scheme and a couple of birds out of each loft is by no way a test of what bird is the best
  22. I agree in part that middle distance birds would get an advantage , but you could have sections to incorperate the distances flown in say 50 mile increments then i would split in to 3 sections in each strip east section central section and west so allthough the merit is given to the fastest velocity the birds that have achieved at the longer distances have there merit as well
  23. If we had the same racing as the continentals then who do you think would be the better fanciers ?
  24. yup true nationals arent a dream i think you have to start at club level and get as many clubs as possible to merge creating bigger clubs , then feds should be allowed to keep there place for club racing , then channel racing / nationals should be for everyone but you could have club fed and nation results to keep geographicaly challenged flyers the same intrests
  25. well i believe the U.N.C has the cream of the best lofts and results where birdage is high , Bourge can vary up to near 600 miles so a couple more races added to the programme would give you 700 mile races or just over im sure others would join to fly your channel points thats why i feel the channel racing should be done together then the fancier has more choice and thanks for your comments
