Have always thought of not racing yearlings and just racing them as 2 year olds if had the room I'd certainly have a go with it saying that I had a hen season before last just put loads of weight on never got it off so she didn't race only kept her to keep her cock happy then year after clocked her at 512 miles .

  13. very true , I chased a spar of from a blackbird I was unsuccessful she just picked it back up flew a bit further where it was safer , must of been some size to pick the dog up , but flew in to house seems to point towards a tame bird

  17. I believe they have gone bust a good friend ordered Sputnik sides off them many months ago he couldn't contact them through there phone number or anything , I actually put it on site as he said he didn't want others to get caught out as well .
  18. When selecting birds what type of pigeon do you look for small /medium/ large long cast, deep keel , apple body ?
  19. They lock on to prey nothing else would concern it when hunger calls
  20. I think it's more of a case of hunger , rapidly depleting loss of small prey in the area , but I wouldn't rule out a captive bird that's been released or escaped
  21. Although feel sorry for the pensioner , this is actually good news as more and more people will see bops for what they are , them trying to attack a dog shows that there is a lack of suitable prey for them so hopefully a nice harsh winter may knock more than a few of them out
