Having just got home from Blackpool I wanted to post this! Many will know Jimmy Fitzpatrick for what he has acheived in the Show world, he received a couple of phone calls last week asking if he'd be at Blackpool, clearly sounding him out! Last night (saturday) some scumbags broke into the rear of his proporty and stole 60 stock birds! If anybody hear's or knows any information please let me or Jimmy know!

Paul , nice box, use frosted Perspex in the top and light through there, the Perspex will difuse the light and reduce shadows. I'd also put a false front on it with just a small hole to photograph through as birds will try and get out past you else.

Spot on Bob, we struggle now to get kids involved but put another upfront cost before them or there parents and you've lost them! Its not the cost as has been said its the principal and the way they have done it! Somebody has realised that by doubling membership fees this years many fanciers have dropped sillent partners so there income will not rise through doubling membership costs so they have now doubled transfers etc to offset what they had forecast but when are the members going to see some benefits?

Its the same old problem, members don't bother going to meetings at there own clubs let alone region! So the same few go to region, when the AGM comes up the committees been decided before anybody votes because those on the committee either make sure there mates are there to vote or there replacement will have backers in place. When it then come to council delegates again its the same old faces, anybody new or outspoken has got no chance! A break away would be the only way to force there hand or nobody paying there union subscriptions until it became democratic!

Anybody can approach a site for permission to liberate, anybody can book a Ferry in advance, anybody can use distance calculation software or GPS, rings can be ordered direct with manufacturers and as long as they were issued with a register kept any strays could be repatriated, is it realy that complicated?
